introduction
All the same are printed books and periodicals printing companies. They also have excellent equipment. Some books printed by enterprises are all fine works, while others are still busy reducing the book-reduction rate; seemingly simple printing of books and periodicals, different quality control methods. There are different results. The following articles are a summary of the experience gained in the production practice. We hope the entire factory staff can read, digest and absorb it.
In recent years, the competition in the printing industry has become increasingly fierce. For customers, product quality, production cycle, price, and comprehensive services cannot be less. The image is summed up as follows: customers want to use lower and lower prices, so that printing companies in the shorter and shorter time, with the best raw and auxiliary materials, through more and more complex processing technology, produce more and more Exquisite products. To meet such high standards and strict requirements of the market, enterprises must strengthen management and improve their internal skills. First of all, they must standardize and intensify their own production management work. For a printing company, preparations for production should not be regarded as mere warm-up exercises before formal production. Instead, they should stand at the height of large-scale production and management, gain insight into all important aspects of production, and make preparations for production planning. . The preparatory work for printing and book production mentioned in this paper mainly refers to the production-related activities that the company has implemented before the production process and production plans are formulated.
one. Preparation of raw and auxiliary materials
The production cycle of book printing can be divided into two stages: the first stage is the production preparation stage, and the second stage is the production process establishment and production implementation stage. As the saying goes: The troops and horses are not moving, and food and grass are first. In order to meet the market demand, it is very necessary to compress production preparation time. Many publications and publications now use a variety of raw and auxiliary materials and production processes. How to put these forest and forest raw materials in place is a systematic project that needs proper arrangements and consideration.
1. Processing of customer's incoming materials
Due to the convenience of purchasing or the price, customers themselves sometimes provide certain raw and auxiliary materials. The specific treatment of this situation is as follows:
(1) Business personnel specify the names, specifications, models, and quantities of incoming materials on the sales contract.
(2) After the material arrives, the business personnel shall check with the warehouse management personnel and the customer or the delivery unit in person, and shall not be sloppy so as to avoid unnecessary disputes in the future.
(3) After the acceptance, the comrades shall be promptly in charge of the production dispatch department to facilitate the arrangement of production.
(4) When preparing the production process, the size and size of the incoming material shall be taken into consideration. After the acceptance, the production process department shall be informed in a timely manner.
2. Material purchase in advance
If the print production cycle of books and periodicals is too short or the necessary materials are in place for a long time, it is necessary to wait until everything is in place before requisitioning; if it is obviously too late in the specified production cycle, there may be delays in waiting for the material to be considered. When the purchase of materials is implemented in advance, the business personnel must fill out the application for purchase in advance and submit it to the purchasing department for purchase of materials. Pay attention not to allow direct procurement of business personnel to ensure the simplicity and standardization of material purchase management. It should be noted that there are certain risks in the purchase of materials ahead of time (there is a possibility that the customer will withdraw orders). Therefore, the business staff needs to make an objective analysis of this and carefully grasp it. Those involved in the larger amounts need to be reviewed and approved before they can submit to the requisitioning department for implementation. Purchase.
3. Material in place information sharing
All materials purchased and purchased into the warehouse by the purchaser, after passing the warehouse acceptance, the relevant conditions shall be notified to the production management department at the first time. A conditional printing company can share the material storage information through the internal LAN of the company. Those who have no conditions can call or notify in writing to provide decision basis for the process establishment and production scheduling.
two. Process preparation and product identification
In the actual production process, the production and process information of books and journals are easily circulated among departments and processes. Even in the face of the same information, there may be inconsistencies and even the opposite understanding. Therefore, standardizing and standardizing all relevant production factors and information is an important guarantee for implementing efficient production.
1. Preparation for printing
When the color of the sample is not normal or there is no proof at all, instead of adopting the color standard provided by the customer or printing the color sample, it must be marked on the obvious position of the sample book and its subsequent printed sample. "and other words, so as not to print the wrong color. When the customer provides PANTONE code, color, or color version of the dot network as the color standard, it must be specified in the business contract, and it must be clearly stated in the relevant column of the printing when preparing the printing project. In addition, in the production of printed stickers, the color recovery number should be marked on the relevant position; if the customer provides pictures as the standard for color recovery, it is necessary to firmly attach the color recovery pictures to the relative graphic and graphic positions of the printed stickers to ensure that Operators cannot print wrong colors during production.
2. Revision processing
When dealing with revisions, there are two principles that must be followed: First, no mistakes are made, and no leakage or change occurs; second, the revised information is marked in a complete and standardized manner so as to facilitate inspection and review again during production. For the situation where the full-page film needs to be changed, the old film should be discarded in time, and it must not be mixed in the correct film for production to prevent misuse. If it cannot be discarded in time, the old film should be marked with the definitive label. At the same time, replace the old drafts with the new ones, and the old ones will be discarded in time. If the new film has no proofs, the old proofs should be marked with "Film has been changed" and marked with more obvious revisions.
3. Editing page order
For the orderly products, especially books and periodicals, the confirmed page order is an important basis for production and acceptance of finished products. Many original samples themselves are not standardized. After many processes, the page order may be inadvertently changed. If the cover is turned to the back cover, the first page of the original text is mistaken for the cover by the next process, and the original cover is mistaken for the cover. Back cover, plus a wide variety of books and products may also contain a separate coded front page, password and so on. Therefore, customers must be required to provide complete and uniform page numbers. In addition, if the inside pages of the books are printed on different papers, to avoid mistakes, it is best to specify the paper specifications used on the relevant pages of the original samples for examination and verification of each process.
4. Hollow processing
Hollowing processing is based on two characteristics of the print color. First, the gold and silver morocco method with a relatively high number of outlets (usually more than 50%) are superimposed on other large ink-level color graphics that have not yet been dried out. Therefore, it is necessary to wait for the background to dry before they can be overprinted, and vice versa. The second is that the coverage of gold, silver and black to the background is 100%, that is, the background color of gold, silver or black in the field cannot be displayed.
For multi-color printing products containing gold and silver, when the number of picture colors is less than or equal to the number of printing color groups, the other colors of the graphic gold or silver color at the place should be hollowed out, that is, there is no other color in the gold or silver picture. With the substrate, all the colors of the multi-color prints can be printed once at a time to improve the production efficiency. Note that at this time, the background color of trappings should be trapped to prevent the trapping phenomenon, especially when the gold and silver thread drawings are smaller. When the number of graphic colors is greater than the number of sets of print colors, the print graphic color cannot be printed once. If gold and silver inks are printed separately from the background graphic at the same time, the background color of gold and silver should not be hollowed out. Because the paper is greatly deformed during the secondary printing, if the background graphics are hollow, it is very easy to overprint and inevitably produce the phenomenon of missing white.
three. Other preparations
1. Special paper preparation
The printing of books and periodicals often requires the use of various kinds of specialty papers. Similar to common coated paper and matte copper group party committees, the lines of special papers are more pronounced, and the colors are more abundant. Many specialty papers have even greater differences on the front and back sides. When paper, be sure to specify the model, specifications, and texture requirements.
In the production process, in order to prevent misuse accidents of special papers, special paper samples may be attached to the paper cut sheets to prepare for inspection when the paper is cut. At the same time, it is also possible to attach special paper samples to the printing presses for production engineering. For the special papers with different front and back sides, the printing surface must also be marked for review and verification again in order to prevent misuse.
The price of specialty paper is generally high. In order to reduce the production cost, other low-cost papers may be used instead of some special papers for school papers. To ensure the quality of the proofreading, the substitute paper should have similar surface characteristics (such as smoothness, etc.) and thickness as the special paper for printing. Practice has proved that the use of various kinds of quantitative cheap offset paper or writing paper as the school paper replacement paper for specialty papers is very good.
2. Packaging cartons purchase
The production cycle of the outer packaging carton is generally more than two days. Usually, the company can stock some common standard outer packaging cartons. If customers have special requirements for external packaging cartons, such as the number of containers required, special contents to be printed, or special product specifications, special cardboard boxes must be purchased in advance.
Carton specifications are determined by several factors, including product size, packing quantity, and packing method. Among them, the packing method means that the product is laid horizontally, vertically or laterally, and different products require different packing methods, otherwise the printed products are easily damaged during transportation.
When the production cycle of some products is short and special packaging cartons are required, the approximate specifications of the cartons can be estimated in advance, even if the suppliers contact the carton suppliers. In this case, once the standard product appears, the carton supplier can be notified to produce the blank according to the revised carton standard size.
3. Outsourcing contacts
The vast majority of printing companies are not omnipotent. There are always some processing projects that need to be completed by foreign companies. In order to ensure the quality and time of outsourcing products, prior to the production of this company, it is necessary to notify the relevant outsourcing enterprises of the outsourcing processing projects and rough processing time in advance, and request the outsourced enterprises to set aside manpower and time, and make related preparations. If you have temporarily contacted the outsourcing company after the outsourcing time, the outsourcing company may not be able to fulfill the production tasks in the necessary time and quality, or the company will have to hand out the outsourced production to the unsuspecting manufacturers. It will make production management passive, and lay a hidden danger of production accidents.
In short, the production preparation work varies with the type of product and the current status of the company. This article will not list them one by one. However, it goes without saying that scientifically standardized production preparation management is an important guarantee for printing companies to increase production efficiency and enhance market competitiveness.
