Professor Hao Luoxi, School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University (Hao Luoxi Aladdin Lighting Network Blog)
In many people's impressions, the most beautiful scenery in Shanghai at night is undoubtedly a tall building in the Lujiazui financial district. With the Hollywood blockbuster "Spy Mission III", the film is broadcasted by the Oriental Pearl and Jinmao on the banks of the Pujiang River. The aerial night view of the building and the Bank of China Building is firmly fixed in the hearts of the global audience. However, starting from May 1, 2010, the protagonist of Shanghai night scene will return to the ground from the sky, and will be transferred from Lujiazui to the Nanpu Bridge and the Pujiang Riverside Expo Park on both sides of the Lupu Bridge. The gentle and quiet Shanghai Expo light from the night will lead people's attention to the deep future.
On the afternoon of May 26, the reporter walked into the laboratory of Prof. Hao Luxi from the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University to listen to her thinking about the night lighting design of the Shanghai World Expo Park and the thinking behind the plan.
Professor Hao Luoxi and the Shanghai World Expo were attached to 2006. At that time, she participated in the planning and design team of the Shanghai World Expo Park, which was appointed as the chief planner by Professor Hu Zhiqiang. The team was divided into 20 groups to be responsible for the planning and design of different aspects of the park. As an expert in visual and lighting art, she led the team responsible for the design of the park's night lighting solutions. In April 2008, she and her team of about 15 people were commissioned by the Shanghai World Expo Bureau to formally undertake the overall planning of the night lighting of the Expo site.
After understanding the overall planning of the Expo site and field visits to the Expo site, Hao Luoxi and her planning and design team deeply realized that they faced a complex environment: there are new pavilions represented by the Axis and Four Pavilions, as well as The original pavilion of the former Jiangnan Shipyard has been transformed into a self-built pavilion with a joint pavilion and a rental pavilion. There are both bridges and docks. It is necessary to pay attention to both the land and the waters in the overall planning of the park lighting scheme. At the time of design and design, these factors and constraints must be taken into account, so Professor Hao Luosi admitted to the reporter that the pressure is great.
Professor Hao and her team actively learn from previous World Expos. She said that she had rushed to the Expo site since the opening of the Aichi Expo, and the entire Expo site was carefully examined, but not much can be borrowed, because the environment of the Aichi Expo Park is completely different from the Shanghai World Expo Park. Regarding the enlightenment of the lighting design of the Beijing Olympic venues, Professor Hao Luoxi said that the semiconductor lamps have been used innovatively in the Beijing Olympic Games, which has great significance for the planning and design of the night lighting scheme of the Shanghai World Expo Park, but also It is fully recognized that semiconductor lighting is limited to the current technical bottleneck and will be limited by various conditions in the field of general illumination.
In all aspects, Professor Hao Luxi and her team have gradually formed the planning and design principles for the night lighting scheme of the Expo site. It is to closely follow the theme of Shanghai World Expo City and make life better, and vigorously practice the concept of green lighting. Lighting design must first return to its basic service life lighting function, instead of pursuing some kind of brilliant special effects regardless of cost and waste of energy. Second, on the basis of the completion of the basic lighting function, let visitors feel the art of amazing light in the Expo Park.
Professor Hao Luoxi said: In lighting planning, we hope to present four highlights in the Expo Park: in terms of strategy, we hope that the World Expo will become an efficient and energy-saving urban lighting demonstration; in terms of culture, the ecological protection lighting mode of the historical sites of the Expo site, I hope that I can integrate semiconductor lighting technology for the first time in the World Expo Best Practices Area. On the human level, I hope that the art of lighting and people can enjoy the creative life brought by lighting technology. In the industry, it will promote manufacturing in China. Maximize the application of participation.
Professor Hao Luoxi and her team carried out a zoning plan for the entire Expo Park. They divided the entire Expo Park into five levels according to the brightness. The brightest is the celebration of the central venue area, the pontoon and other crowded activities. And the landmark buildings, while the parking lot tastes the main road outside the Expo Park and the branch roads in the park and the exterior lighting of the building are listed as the lowest brightness areas.
Professor Hao Luoxi finally said: According to the plan, the night landscape of the Expo site will form three main landscape axes: one is the natural landscape axis Huangpu River, the open river surface of Pujiang becomes the best place for viewing, and the landscape on both sides passes through the river. The reflection is a magnificent landscape; the second is that the Expo Axis and the Zhouqiao string together Pudong and Puxi, which are the most abundant landscape axes; the third is the elevated walkway, which crosses the main national pavilion of Pudong and connects several main entrances and exits. It has also become one of the important landscape axes.
